In Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, there is a lovely park called Dravyavati Bird Park. Dravyavati River is better known as Amanishah Nalla among the residents. The park is spread over an area of 60 hectares approx. As a part of the Dravyavati River Project, Jaipur’s Bird Park is now accessible to the general public. It is adjacent to the well-known Bani Park neighborhood but far from the freshly opened riverfront Mansarovar area. It is a less popular place in Jaipur so you can call it a hidden gem of Jaipur. In monsoon season you will feel like you are in a real forest.

There is one interesting fact about the park you will not find birds in the bird park but you can find pigeons and sparrows here, other than just birds there are a lot of things to do at Dravyavati Bird Park.

It’s an amazing Bird park and I recommend this bird garden in Jaipur to all the visitors who are coming from outside as this will give you internal peace and a view of some gorgeous peacocks amidst nature. One can easily spend around 2-3 hours enjoying the nature.

Bird Garden Jaipur Origin Story

The Dravyavati River, long a neglected body of water in the past, has changed dramatically over time. What was once a polluted drain is now a flourishing ecosystem, thanks to the visionary efforts of the Jaipur Development Authority. As a part of this effort of Revitalization, the Park was created to preserve the diversity of birds and raise awareness about the environment. There is a pump house earlier in this area which is now converted into a cafe. but the cafe is closed nowadays. I must mention here that the renovation of the entire plant to turn it into a cafe has been done very well in my opinion.

There is an old wall that was built by the Jaipur king around the pink city for protection. However in 1980 due to a flood, to protect the city it was destroyed. There is a wheel in the center of the park. This wheel was used to pump water in the Era of British rule.
